Chelsi’s Fall Home Tour

Welcome to our home. I hope you stop and take a look at our house that’s all ready for the fall season. My mom and I decided to show you how we style our homes for fall so stay tuned for her home tour as well! Oh and also stay tuned for Maylees home tour too 😉 This is the first time I have posted anything inside my house on our blog so far. I think sometimes I feel inadequate in this blog world. I got brave this season and decided to show you all how I decorated our house for fall. I hope I can inspire some of you to get your fall decorating on. In the past I have only done the bare minimum of fall decorating(aka pumpkins on the front step). I really don’t like fall colors that much or much of the decor sold in stores. This year I decided to go all in and find my own love for fall decor. This wall is one of the first things that I started with when decorating my house for fall. I always have had this wire frame on this wall with pictures in it. I decided to take the pictures down and print large FALL letters just on normal computer paper. I then pinned them to the wire with clothes pins. I found my fun pumpkins at a local grocery store and my parents garden. I am so lucky to have parents that love to garden! I added these branches in my glass vase. The branches were also from my parents yard. I have decided that my favorite decorating accessories for fall are things that can be found outside. img_2481On our desk and throughout our house I added random pumpkins. I painted these ones white to go with my home decor. img_2478Above our entertainment center I added some more fun pumpkins and some herbs from my herb garden. I have no idea what the herbs are haha. My mom planted them and I obviously never cooked with them this summer. img_2443Don’t mind our tiny tv in our huge entertainment center. We plan on buying a new tv soon that will actually fit. I added a few small white pumpkins on the shelves of the entertainment center. I love the simplicity of our entertainment center. A lot of times I think less is more in decorating.

I made these pillows to add some fall touches to our chairs. You can find my free printable and diy blog post on those here. We are on a tight budget so I used pillow inserts I already had and made these adorable fall covers for them. More pumpkins. Who knew pumpkins could be sooooo cute. The character in all of them is so fun. I created this chalkboard that is hanging in between our family room and kitchen. I found cute chalk samples of leaves on Pinterest and I wrote some of my favorite things about autumn. I love changing up the chalkboard for every season. Welcome to our dining area. I styled the shelves by adding a few pumpkins, wheat, sunflowers, and a few corn husks. I enjoy our shelves because they are functional and add some character on this big wall in our dining room. For my fall table setting I borrowed my moms pewter dishes. She is a big collector of pewter and these plates are some of my favorites in her collection. I simply styled the place settings with a white napkin, a wood napkin ring that I got from World Market and a sprig of thyme. For the centerpiece I found this wood box at the thrift store for $3! I painted it white and sanded it. I filled it with peach tree branches and white pumpkins. Again I love what nature can do for fall decorating! Lately I have loved setting our table with mason jars. To be honest we have broken almost all our nice glasses that we got from our wedding. We had mason jars so they have worked perfectly as glasses. Thanks for stopping by and seeing our home all decorated for fall. It has been a blast finding my style for this fall season. Now I’m ready to take on our front porch, which has been neglected lately. I hope I inspired you to decorate for fall this year! Get ready for my moms gorgeous home fall tour coming up this weekend.
